Paratha is a common breakfast in Indian society. In my family everyone likes to have paratha in breakfast. So I try to make many kinds of paratha which is loved by family. Here I have made spinach & green onion paratha which is easy to make and offcourse loved by my family. These parathas are very delicious and healthy packed with Iron, Vitamin K and Calcium. The perfect meal to enjoy anytime, any day with your favorite pickle, yogurt or a side dish of your favorite subzi.
How to make Spinach Green onion Paratha
Ingredients
Wheat flour - 2cups
Gram Flour/ Besan- 1/2 cup
Washed & chopped Fresh spinach - 2cuos
Washed & chopped green onion- 1 cup
Oil - 2tsp
Turmeric powder - 1tsp
Cumin powder - 1tsp
Garam masala - 1tsp
Ajwain ( carom seeds)- 1tsp
Salt to taste
Green chilli- according to taste
Water as needed
Instructions
Dough preparation
Take a mixing bowl, add flour and all other ingredients except water and mix it well.
2. Add water to make it into soft and smooth dough and cover it. Keep it aside for about 10-15 minutes.`
Paratha preparation
1. Knead the resting dough, and then make 5-6 equal lemon size balls.
2. On to a well-floured surface, take one dough ball and start rolling to make a round 8" paratha.
3. Heat tawa/frying pan, fry the paratha on both sides until turns light golden brown, Spread oil all around and on top of the paratha while cooking.
4. Remove from tawa, Spinach Green Onion is ready to serve hot with some butter(makhan) on top and a choice of plain yogurt, chutney or pickle or subzi.
