When the King of fruits is in-season, this Mango ice-cream recipe gives you one more way to enjoy its amazing flavour. Mango ice-cream is famous frozen dessert. Mango ice-cream is also available in some markets but can also be easily made at home with fresh mangoes or frozen pulp. The common ingredients used to make this delicious ice-cream are, mangoes, condensed milk, heavy whipped cream. Artificial flavours and essence may sometimes be used to enhance the color and taste of this ice-cream.
How to store
Store the ice-cream sealed in an air tight container in freezer.
Ingredients
1. Peeled and chopped mangoes- 2 1/2 cups
2. Heavy whipped cream - 1 cup
3. Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
Method
1. First put 2 cups of chopped mangoes in a mixer and blend till it become smooth.
2. Now pour the puree in a non stick pan and cook for 4-5 min at medium flame. Once cooked, keep puree aside to get cool.
3. Take cream in a bowl and whisk using Electric hand mixer till it gets soft peaks.
4. Add condensed milk and whisk again with the hand mixer. I have added 2 drops of yellow food color to enhance the color of ice-cream, but its optional.
5. Add mango puree to the cream and mix in a cut and fold manner with the help of spatula. It is not advisable to mix it with hand mixer.
6. Add 1/2 cup of chopped mangoes in the mixture.
7. Pour the mixture in an air tight container and freeze it for at least 8-9 hrs.
8. Now ice-cream is ready. Scoop and serve the ice-cream.
