Chatpata tofu is one of my Favourite snack. It is loved a lot by my family . As tofu itself doesn't have its own taste but when I make it in Indian style it becomes very yummy to eat. I have used spices like mint powder, chatmasala, cuminseeds, Asafoetida . I have used lemon also which gives it a tangy taste. I used Garlic which gives a very nice taste to it. I usually make less spicy so that it can be easily consumed by kids but spicy lovers can make it more spicy according to their taste. I have used olive oil to make it more healthy but you may some other oil of your choice.
It is very healthy snack as it is cholesterol-free, low-calorie, high-protein food that’s also rich in bone-boosting calcium and manganese.
How to make Chatpata tofu
Ingredients
Tofu - 250 gms
Chopped Garlic - 2 tbsp
Dry mint powder- 2tsp
Chaat masala - 2tsp
Italian seasoning- 2tsp
Salt- 2tsp
Hing- a pinch
Cumin seeds- 1tsp
Lemon - 1
Chopped coriander leaves- 1 cup
Olive oil - 3tbsp
Procedure
First, start with tofu and cut it in pieces.
2. In a pan add 1tbsp of olive oil at medium heat and roast tofu from both sides till it become golden brown in color. Take it out in a plate.
3. Cut tofu in to small pieces. keep it to a side
4. Heat 2 tbsp oilve oil in a pan and add hing, cuminseeds, chopped garlic to it.
5. Saute garlic till it gets golden brown. Now add tofu to it and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
6. Add salt, chaat masala, dry mint powder, Italian seasoning and mix well.
7. squeez lemon and sprinkel chopped coriander.
8. Pour chatpata tofu in a plate and Garnish with coriander leaves.
9. Chatapat tofu is ready to eat.
